Ingredients

Marinade

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp swerve
  • 3 Tbsp Sugar free honey like Nature's Hollow Sugar Free Honey
  • 2 Tbsp wheat free tamari sauce
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger minced

Instructions

  1. Heat up the oil in a sauce pan over medium flame. Put in the onion and cook until golden brown. Add the garlic and ginger.

  2. Add in the vinegar and tamari while stirring well.

  3. Pour in the swerve and honey and mix well until it gets a smoother texture. Raise the flame to a boil and then take it off.

  4. Cook the chicken in a crock pot for 4-6 hours on high covered in the sauce and seasoned with salt and pepper.
