Ingredients:

2   9 to 10 ounce Flat iron steaks, cut from the thick end

 

Serves 4 Servings

 

Marinade:

1/4  Cup light olive oil

2 Tbs gluten free tamari sauce

1 Tbs apple cider vinegar

1/4 Tsp ground ginger

1 Tsp Lakanto Golden

1/4 Tsp mustard powder

1/4 Tsp onion powder

1/4 Tsp garlic powder

1/4 Tsp ground black pepper

1/8 Tsp cinnamon




Mix all spices in a small bowl

Place the flat iron steaks and mixed spices in a large bag

Seal the bag, and shake well

Place the bag in the refrigerator overnight on a tray so that the steaks are sitting in the marinade

With flat iron steaks it is best to marinate slowly and cook quickly, sealing the juices in the beef

Remove from the refrigerator at least 1 hour before ready to eat

Heat up a grill frying pan until it is very hot

Cook the steaks for 5 minutes or so on each side, depending on how well you prefer your meat

If the meat is at least 3/4 inch thick and you enjoy your meat rare don’t cook longer than 5 minutes per side

For thinner cuts, use less time
