Harlan Kilstein’s Completely Keto Bone Broth

 

Serves 10 bowls

 

Ingredients:

1 Standard size cheesecloth and kitchen string

14-17 Cups water (depending on pot size)

1 Tbs Course Pink Himalayan Salt

1 Head green cabbage cut into large wedges leaving the stem attached

2 Medium turnips peeled and cut into quarters (remove after broth is finished cooking, just used for flavor)

10 Long celery ribs peeled and cut in halves crosswise

2 Carrots peeled and left whole (remove after broth is finished cooking, just used for flavor)

15  Very small onions peeled and left whole

6 Beef marrow bones

4 Beef neck bones

4 Pounds of a square-cut chuck roast cut into serving size chunks

10 Garlic cloves

4 Sprigs of fresh thyme

2 1/2 Tbs whole black peppercorns

8 Bay leaves

Peel of 1  1/2 lemons




Place Lemon peel, bay leaves, peppercorns, thyme and garlic in a cheesecloth and tie with a kitchen string tightly

Place the tied cheesecloth in first, and then all other ingredients into your Instant Pot.  You can either cook on pressure cook setting for 20 minutes or for 4 hours on slow cook mode for a meal to be ready when you are.

When finished discard cheesecloth, carrots and turnips.

Serve hot
